OUGD503 TRANSIENT SPACE INITIAL IDEAS

I began illustrating some quick initial ideas which would soon merge into my a developed idea. Using the visual identity of radio waves, the digital planet and other things from my research, I sketched a few possible identities for my gif.

The first idea reflects a simple sound wave rippling up and down reacting to a simple sound. This would be identical to a normal sound wave animating gracefully. This has emerged from my research and the relation to the word interface. This is obviously the interface between sound and visual.

This is another simple animation attached to the theme of interface through disruption. The illustrations will be made of lines similar to the ones found on electromagnetic rays and radio waves like discussed in my research. Having the earth created from these lines represents the digital disruption we live in. It will spin around simply representing the digital earth today in comparison to what it used to be.

This one is similar to the previous idea as it features a digitalised earth spinning, however it is a slight bit more cynical. After a few seconds of the earth spinning, the radio wave like lines in the illustration will began to become more disrupt until they begin to separate into more distort lines. Then they will become completely mute. This will represent our digital planet slowly being destroyed through disruption and its own interface.

This animation will feature a human eye being hypnotised and disrupted by our modern digital interface. Its a very simple idea which will involve some form of technological item being shown and the effect on the human eye it has. The eye will be shown being distracted from its normal every day life, representing disruption in a very literal way.
